As such, it has a recognized APE of 25x PEL. 3M does not recommend the use of the L-501 headgear with facial hair that interferes with the faceseal. Users should be clean-shaven where the respirator’s faceseal comes into contact with the user’s face. Failure to do so may reduce the effectiveness of the respirator and may result in sickness or death.

    The bump cap is intended to be used in applicantions where protection from falling objects is not required, but a lightweight head cover is desired to protect the user from dust and other airborne particles. Safe glasses should be worn at all times when using this product. Sold by the each.
